The Student Tech Squad is dedicated to helping FLHS students with the use of computers and other technology. Every day, at least one of our club members devotes their lunch break to helping students and managing the distribution of laptops in the Fair Lawn High School Library. In the past year, our club has initiated and fully funded some interesting and challenging projects, one being the construction of a new desktop computer for the school. Join Student Tech Squad for the 2019-20 school year!

FLHS Library PC:
In September 2018, the Student Tech Squad donated a brand new built computer to the school. The club fund raised all of the money through bake sales and video game tournaments. It was assembled in the summer of 2018 and upon approval from the school administration was installed in the library. Upgrades were later added such a GTX 950 graphics card and a brand new custom CPU fan. The computer is open to all students for open use during the school day. Below are detailed specs on the parts used inside the computer.

Student Activities Center PC:
Continuing in the spirit of the previously successful project, the Student Tech Squad decided to fund raise for a second computer to be placed in the Student Activities Center (SAC). Desperately in need of a functioning machine, this center lacked the proper technology to suit the needs of students and staff alike. Over the course of the 2018-19 year, we raised over $300 to build a smaller, yet still powerful PC that would perfectly match the school's needs in performance.
The specific parts used in this build will be posted soon.

Tech Squad History:
The Student Tech Squad was founded in 2014 by Technology Committee Chairman Jon Zaken and Chairman Assistant Ryan Greff.
The organization began as a result of the Committee's initiative to provide technical assistance to students. Under the leadership of its president, Ryan Greff, the Student Tech Squad was expanded and began increasing the scope in which it provided service to Fair Lawn High School.
In partnership with the Technology Committee, the organization was able to devote hundreds of hours of volunteer service to the Fair Lawn High School student body.
